As many of you may already know, the site for the "Ten Year Anniversary Reunion" has been chosen.
And the winner is....(drum roll please).....Melbourne !
February 18th - 20th, 2011 being the chosen dates. There were several excellent tenders submitted to be considered as the location to celebrate this special occasion. We had offers from Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville , Perth, Queenstown and Christchurch in New Zealand, Singapore, Bali, Reunion Islands and Zimbabwe.
The ANZMBOS selection committee had a difficult decision to make and it actually came down to just one vote. Melbourne was selected because of it's easy access, excellent venues, great transport, good cheap accommodation and the ability to guarantee a brilliant time. In the following weeks the “A Team” will be checking the validity of venues, restaurants, hotels etc.
The plan will be to keep things simple and cost effective.
Friday night 18th
Softbelly Bar and Lounge, 367 Little Bourke St http://www.softbelly.com.au/ Starting at 6:00pm with finger food served from 7:30 pm Cost approx $20 Meet and Greet at a bar in the CBD area that will give us access to our own space, bar area, music and dance floor. The cost will be no more than $20 per head which will cover a great selection of finger foods and everyone buys their own drinks.
Saturday day 19th free to do whatever you feel like, maybe a tram ride to St Kilda beach for lunch or a swim or perhaps some shopping in the nearby DFO.
Saturday night 19th dinner at an Asian restaurant in the Chinatown/CBD area that allows us to select a menu, hang around after feasting and have a bit of time for formalities and some dirty dancing to good 70’s and 80's music.
Sunday day 20th we’ll gather at a bar in the Docklands area to say goodbye to some and to give others an opportunity to recuperate before heading home. Those that are staying on for the Sunday night as well may also want to kick on for dinner. If anyone has ideas or knows of venues we could check out, please don't hesitate to contact myself

We know the time, venue and city will not suit everyone, but a decision had to be made. Hopefully this will give everyone the opportunity to try and organise things so they are able to attend the reunion.
Lets hope we get a big crowd to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work Jo Rendle started 10 years ago and appreciate the fact we're all still together and growing stronger.
